At
the Free Frank New Philadelphia Historic Frontier Town
your students interact with history. Whether you are
students and teachers on a class trip or church groups,
boys and girl scouts, family reunions or a group of
friends, your group will experience what it was like
to live in a frontier town. Under the direction of Dr.
Juliet Elise Kirkpatrick Walker, the founder of the
Free Frank New Philadelphia Historic Preservation Foundation,
our staff will assist your group in preparing an interactive
educational program tailored to your particular group's
curriculum. There will be guided tours by our highly
informed staff. There will also be independent tours
where your group discovers this historic frontier town
at its own pace. The Foundation will also provide tours
where you are provided headphones and a cassette player
for an audio tour narrated by Dr. Walker as she guides
you through the restored New Philadelphia. Your students
and group will not only learn about the history of Free
Frank, New Philadelphia and frontier life in Illinois
but will also experience it. For more information and
